25 33 44 | The Death of Kevin Duckworth

Gentle Giant = 7+5+5+2+3+5+7+9+1+5+2 = 51
Gentle Giant = 7+5+14+20+12+5+7+9+1+14+20 = 114
This one is a little personal for me truth seeker.  I remember when Kevin Duckworth died, I was kind of shocked.  I was shocked because I had seen him not long before, at a softball tournament where I was umpiring.  Kevin Duckworth, in his years after retiring from pro basketball, became a regular softball participant in the Portland and Pacific NW area.  To me, he seemed like a healthy and humble man for being one of riches.  He was friendly and polite and I can say that I had the pleasure of shaking his hand, it was at least two of mine.  He seemed like a genuinely kind person.  As the article above says, "A Gentle Giant".

When he died, I did not study numerology, Gematria, or know anything significant about the number '44', other than MLK had died on April 4 ( It has stuck out to me for many years that MLK came out against the Vietnam War for the first time a year to the day of his death...).  When Kevin Duckworth died, I never thought to question it.  But now, looking back, a few things stick out.
  1. He was part of the '86 Draft (Len Bias, #2 pick, died two days later)
  2. He was the 33rd Pick, by the 'Spurs', a very strange franchise
  3. He died at the age of 44, on a curious date, August 25, 2008
    • 8/25 = 8+25 = 33
Kevin Duckworth was born April 1, 1964.
  • 4/1/1964 = 4+1+1+9+6+4 = 25
  • 8/25/2008 = 8+2+5+2+0+0+8 = 25
  • Kevin = 2+5+4+9+5 = 25
If the Blazers are in the NBA Finals this year, it will be nearly seven years since Kevin Duckworth's passing.
  • NBA Finals = 5+2+1+6+9+5+1+3+1 = 33
Let us close by decoding the name Kevin Duckworth, a name that has struck me as curious since I was a little boy, living in Portland, watching the Trailblazers.
  • Kevin = 2+5+4+9+5 = 25
  • Duckworth = 4+3+3+2+5+6+9+2+8 = 42
  • Kevin Duckworth = 67
  • Kevin = 11+5+22+9+14 = 61
  • Duckworth = 4+21+3+11+23+15+18+20+8 = 123
  • Kevin Duckworth = 184
